Prior to that, Mr. Carney served as Vice President of Worldwide Customer Service of Nortel Networks Inc. A twenty-year veteran of the networking industry, he has held managerial and engineering roles at Prime Computer, Proteon and Radio Corporation of America (RCA). He has been Independent Director at Visa Inc. since June 11, 2015. He served as a Director of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. since February 2013. He served as a Director at Technicolor SA since June 17, 2010. He served as a Director of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation from June 23, 2005 to May 9, 2014. He served as a Director at Micromuse, Inc. since July 29, 2003 and BigBand Networks, Inc., from April 18, 2006 to June 2008. He served as Director of Xsigo Systems, Inc. from January 2008 to July 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a M.S. Degree in Applied Business Management from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts and Honorary Doctorate Degree in Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
