It holds interest in the Yauli, Chungar, Alpamarca, Cerro de Pasco, and Óxidos de Pasco projects with nine underground mines, three open pits, and seven concentrating plants located in the central mountains of the Peruvian Andes. The company also owns and operates 13 hydroelectric plants with a total installed capacity of 63 megawatts; and 350 kilometers of transmission lines. In addition, it engages in the developing a port terminal. Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A. was founded in 1943 and is headquartered in Lima, Peru.
