He joined Al Kamil Power in January 2001 as finance director and was actively associated in the setting up of the power project and installing systems and procedures in the organisation. He has thirty six years of work experience in finance and managing businesses in India and the Sultanate of Oman. From 1995 to 2000, he served as General Manager and Director of Muscat Real Estate Development Company SAOC. From 1989 to 1995, he served as a General Manager of Computer Stationary Industry SAOG and from 1981 to 1988 served as a Finance Manager for Al Yousef International Enterprises. Mr. Kasbekar was a Non-Executive Independent Director at Sohar Power Company SAOG since April 23, 2014 until March 27, 2018 and previously served as its Non-Executive Independent Director from March 6, 2011 to May 29, 2013. Mr. Kasbekar is a commerce graduate from University of Mumbai and a chartered accountant.
