The National Detergent Company SAOG manufactures and sells fabric, dish, personal, and home care products in the Sultanate of Oman and internationally. The company operates in three divisions: Consumer Products, Sulphonation, and Industrial and Institutional Products. Its Consumer Products division manufactures, markets, and distributes detergent powders, liquid detergents, hand wash liquids, toilet soaps, fabric care products, personal care products, and other industrial and household cleaning products. This division sells its products directly, as well as through a network of distributors. The Sulphonation division manufactures and sells sulphonic acid, a surface active agent, which is used in detergents and home care products. The Industrial and Institutional division manufactures and trades in specialty chemicals for oil and gas, and construction sectors. The company offers its products primarily under the Bahar brand name. The National Detergent Company SAOG was founded in 1981 and is based in Ruwi, the Sultanate of Oman.
