Dr. Thian Poh Chua founded Ho Bee Land Limited in August 1987 and has been its Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1999. Dr. Chua serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ho Bee Holdings Pte Ltd. He is an owner of Ho Bee Investment Ltd. He is a Co-Owner at Airjet Investments Pte Ltd. Besides group-wide strategic planning and directions, he is responsible for financial and investment decisions. He is the Founder and owner of Ho Bee Group. Dr. Chua holds board positions in many other companies and business organizations, including Board Member of Sentosa Cove Pte Ltd (wholly-owned subsidiary of Sentosa Development Corporation) since November 1996 and Vice President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry since March 2001. He is also very active in the community organisations. He serves as Chairman of Ho Bee Holdings Pte Ltd. He serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Ascendas-Singbridge Pte Ltd. He serves as a Director of Yanlord Ho Bee Property Development (Tangshan) Co., Ltd. He served as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of EnGro Corporation Limited (formerly SsangYong Cement (Singapore) Limited) from 2003 to April 6, 2006. He is the Chairman of Bishan East Citizens 'Consultative Committee and a Council Member for the National Arts Council. In August 2004, Dr. Chua was conferred The Public Service Star (BBM) by Singapore President. He has held the appointment of Justice of the Peace since 2005. In March 2007, Dr. Chua was being conferred The 2006 Businessman of the Year in the Singapore Business Awards 2007 jointly organized by The Business Times and DHL.
