He has specialized in mining and metals practices and financing for numerous international projects including the Mantos Blancos copper mine in Chile, Lisheen zInc. mine in Ireland, Kasese cobalt mine in Uganda, Bulyanhulu gold and copper mine in Tanzania, the Kansanshi copper mine in Zambia, a rutile project in Sierra Leone and a nickel project in Turkey. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Westbridge Energy Corporation from August 17, 2012 to November 2015. He has been an Independent Director at UNX Energy Corp., (Formerly Universal Power Corp.) since February 9, 2010. He served as a Director of IC Potash Corp., from September 27, 2011 to May 31, 2012. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at Westbridge Energy Corporation since April 2012. Mr. Frewin served as a Director of Giyani Gold Corp from June 1, 2012 to February 2016. He is the author of various articles on aspects of project financing and received an acknowledgement in J.G. Collier's 'International Law and Practice - the Conflicts of Law'. He is included in Euromoney's 'Guide to the World's Leading Project Finance Lawyers'. He was recipient of the Dr. Cooper Award in his college final year. He has a Law Degree at Trinity Hall Cambridge in 1984. Mr. Frewin has BA from Cambridge University (Trinity Hall) and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.
