Mr. Doman was the founder of TFC and serves as its President and CEO. Mr. Doman was also responsible for acquisitions of CanWel Hardware, CanWel Treating, Broadleaf Logistics Company, NorthWest Wood Treaters, North American Wood Preservers, Pastway Planing Limited, California Cascade Industries, Jemi Fibre Corp., TFI, and Honsador Acquisition Corp. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of CanWel Building Materials Ltd. He has more than 25 years experience in the building materials manufacturing and distribution industries. He served as the President of CanWel Building Materials Group Ltd. since January 31, 2010. Mr. Doman served as the Vice-President of Futura Forest Products Ltd. from 1992 to 1999. Mr. Doman is a former member of the board of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He was responsible for the acquisition of CanWel and the Futura Forest Products Division. Mr. Doman has been the Chairman of the Board of Tree Island Steel Ltd. (also known as Tree Island Wire Income Fund) since June 23, 2009 and has been its Director since January 30, 2009. He serves as the Chairman of CanWel Building Materials Group Ltd. and has been its Director since December 31, 1999. He has been a Director at Tree Island Wire Income Fund since May 11, 2007. He serves as a Director of Dexx Corp. He served as an Independent Director of Route1 Inc. from September 15, 2010 to November 2011. He served as a Trustee of Tree Island Wire Income Fund from May 11, 2007 to July 05, 2007. The company sells decking and railing; engineered wood products; fasteners and adhesives; foundation; insulation and wraps; interior finishing; lumber, plywood, OSB, and specialty industrial products; roofing products; treated wood; siding and trim products; and security products, as well as forms and reinforcement products. It also offers wood pressure treating services. In addition, the company is involved in the ownership and management of private timberlands and Crown forest licenses; logging and trucking operations; and post-peeling and pressure treating for the agricultural market. The company serves new home construction, home renovation, and industrial markets, as well as building materials industry, hardware stores, and industrial and furniture manufacturers.
